Well known to clients. Hard to find for everyone else.
Proplant PCE is a Middelburg-based engineering company with more than 13 years of experience in automation, instrumentation, electrical and turnkey projects.
It supplies industrial products and delivers integrated engineering services across mining, industrial manufacturing, water and wastewater, energy and utilities, and commercial energy, in Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo, North West, Mozambique, Lesotho and Eswatini.
Its existing clients knew exactly what it could do. A buyer searching for a supplier would struggle to find out. Since May 2026, Pinnacle has worked with Proplant PCE to change that.
A visibility problem, not a capability problem
Our research into the market, competitors and the managers who buy found five gaps between the company Proplant PCE is and the one buyers could see online.
- 01Growth relied on relationshipsMost new work came through referrals, repeat business and tenders. It works, but it makes the pipeline hard to predict and hard to grow.
- 02A presence smaller than the businessIts online footprint, educational content and authority were limited next to larger competitors.
- 03Three static pages, no product pagesServices were listed as headings with no explanation, there were no product pages, and the contact page was outdated with no form.
- 04Buyers search for outcomesOperations and maintenance managers search for less downtime and more reliability, not for โinstrumentation supplierโ.
- 05Invisible to AI searchWithout structured, authoritative content, AI assistants had little to say about Proplant PCE when buyers asked for suppliers.

Proplant didnโt need new services. Buyers needed to see the ones it had.
Competitors were mostly selling products and services. Very few were speaking to reliability, downtime and modernisation, the problems buyers actually had.
A knowledge platform for engineers, not a brochure
Every page was planned around how industrial buyers research, compare and shortlist suppliers. Select a step to see what it involved.
Position Proplant PCE as a reliability and modernisation partner that helps mining and industrial operations reduce downtime and upgrade critical infrastructure.
Map every section to a stage of the industrial buying process so each visitor can answer three questions fast: can they solve my problem, can I trust them, and what is the next step?
Group the offer into five solution areas, product categories and the industries served, linked so an engineer moves from a problem to the right capability in a few clicks.
Build individual product pages that answer the questions engineers ask when shortlisting equipment, starting with density measurement and the non-nuclear slurry density meter.
Set up Google Business Profile and Search Console, publish on LinkedIn from the company and the CEO, structure content for AI search, and track every lead that comes in.

Found, trusted, contacted, tracked
Each channel now does a job and hands the buyer on. The last step matters as much as the first: every inbound lead is logged, so Proplant PCE can see exactly where its work comes from.

Inbound leads, and a clear view of every one
Proplant PCE is now receiving inbound leads from its website and its Google Business Profile, alongside the referrals it has always earned.
A tracking system logs every inbound lead, so the team can see what is coming in and where it came from. Growth no longer depends only on who already knows them.
- 01Inbound leads from the website and Google Business Profile
- 02A tracking system that shows every inbound lead
- 03Individual product pages, starting with density measurement
- 04LinkedIn content twice a week from the company and the CEO
- 05A structure search engines and AI assistants can understand

What other industrial firms can take from this
You donโt have to be the biggest supplier to be found. These lessons apply to any regional engineering firm.
- 01Be found for problems
Buyers search for less downtime and better reliability. Write for those searches, not for your service names.
- 02Give every product a page
Engineers shortlist equipment by specification. A detailed product page answers them before a competitor does.
- 03Track every lead
When every inbound lead is logged, you can see what works and invest in it, instead of guessing.

Questions about the Proplant PCE case study
01What did Pinnacle Process Marketing do for Proplant PCE?
We built the marketing strategy, planned the buyer journey and site structure, created a 14-page website with our development partner, added individual product pages, set up Google Business Profile and Search Console, and launched LinkedIn for the company and the CEO.
02Is Proplant PCE getting leads from the new website?
Yes. Inbound leads now arrive through the website and the Google Business Profile, and a tracking system logs every one.
03Why build individual product pages?
Engineers shortlist equipment by specification and application. A dedicated page for each product answers their questions and gives search engines and AI assistants something specific to show.
04Does this approach work for instrumentation and electrical contractors?
Yes. Most regional engineering firms are better than their websites suggest. Making that expertise visible, and measuring the leads it brings, applies to any of them.
05How long did it take to see inbound leads?
The work started in May 2026 and Google Business Profile and Search Console went live in August 2026. Every business is different, so we set expectations in a strategy session.
06Why does process control and instrumentation need a different kind of website?
Buyers in process control and instrumentation are usually operations and maintenance managers with a specific problem, such as downtime or an ageing system. They search for the outcome they need, then check the products and the team behind them. A website built around those problems answers them faster than a list of service names.
07Which industries and regions does Proplant PCE serve?
Mining, industrial manufacturing, water and wastewater, energy and utilities, and commercial energy. It works across Gauteng, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and North West, and in Mozambique, Lesotho and Eswatini.
